The family-owned supermarket chain said Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread may contain undeclared walnuts.

Between Thursday, Sept. 26, and Wednesday, Oct. 2, 39 units of the product were sold in Stew Leonard’s bakery department at the store’s location in Danbury, Connecticut only.

The recall was initiated after a customer discovered that a loaf of Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread contained walnuts, but walnuts were not declared on the label.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

If they consume walnut products, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to walnuts risk a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

Consumers who have purchased this bread are urged to discard it or bring it back to Stew Leonard’s Customer Service desk in Danbury for a full refund.
